Located in one of the world’s most iconic buildings with spectacular views overlooking London’s skyline, the Shangri-La Hotel offers guests a luxurious home away from home. With panoramic views of beloved landmarks such as the Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe, Borough Market and St Paul’s Cathedral within easy reach, the Shangri-La occupies 18 floors of The Shard, Western Europe’s tallest building.

Systemteq was appointed to supply the hotels 202 rooms and corridors with an integrated hotel management system (iHMS) providing a supervisory, centralised software that can be used to view and control certain functions remotely. This required the installation of an RS485 network to supply high speed serial data communications; a lighting control system; HVAC control to regulate the operation of heating and air conditioning; guest services; curtain and solar blind control; an energy control system, in addition to underfloor, towel rail and toilet seat heating.

The hotel prides itself on its world-class reputation and the outstanding level of service provided to guests; we are proud to have played a role in this incredible renovation project delivering high quality products to contribute to the guests’ luxurious experience.
